Branch Manager – Southeast, FL
We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Southeast, FL office. This role is responsible for overseeing operations, driving growth, ensuring profitability, and fostering a strong team culture within a 45-person office specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing (CMT), and Building Code Inspections..
The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, technical expertise, and a proven ability to develop client relationships and expand service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the management and profitability of consulting services and projects, ensuring high-quality execution.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering professional growth and performance.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying new business opportunities.
• Supervise the preparation of proposals, scopes of work, and quotations to ensure proper manpower allocation and competitive pricing.
• Drive business development efforts, including identifying new projects, writing technical proposals, and leading RFP/RFQ responses.
• Take ownership of P&L responsibilities, ensuring cost control, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
• Expand service lines within the region, specifically in Environmental and Building Envelope services.
• Ensure a safe work environment and promote a culture of safety across all operations.
• Oversee quality control in office, laboratory, and field work to maintain efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting, documentation, and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (preferred but not required).
• 10+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, CMT, or building code inspections.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMT testing, geotechnical engineering, and building code inspection requirements.
• Business development skills, including proposal writing and client engagement.
• Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and operations oversight.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
• Ability to hire, train, and manage staff effectively.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
