Job Title: Project Engineer/Project Manager
General Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer/Project Manager you will provide consulting services for Construction Material and Special Inspection projects. This includes engineering analysis, calculations, observations, inspections, and the preparation and review of reports. You will also review project drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Responsibilities include preparing proposals, cost estimates, tracking project progress, managing budgets, and recommending changes. You will resolve design and construction issues, assign and review laboratory or field data, and apply engineering principles. Services will be provided for projects in various sectors. You will work with the project manager to ensure your involvement at key stages of the project and assist with approvals, change orders, and collections.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate phases of project work.
Work with clients or management to define project scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop and implement a project plan.
Resolve operational issues and minimize delays.
Identify and allocate resources necessary to complete the project, including materials, equipment, staff, and contractors.
Coordinate with other departments to secure specialized resources.
Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status.
Prioritize tasks, assign responsibilities, and ensure project milestones are met.
Coordinate with review engineers to ensure appropriate oversight at key stages.
Work with accounting on financial management, invoicing, and collections.
Participate in marketing, sales, and business development.
Identify project-related risks and implement strategies to manage them.
Lead safety efforts and ensure the team follows safety rules and guidelines.
Manage detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity.
Provide design, engineering, and construction recommendations.
Review proposals written by others for quality control.
Evaluate laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
Serve as a technical advisor to junior team members.
Communicate with clients and project teams to discuss progress, findings, and recommendations.
Prepare engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations.
Supervise junior staff, including graduate, field, and project engineers.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant ICC certifications
5-20 years of professional experience.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or multiple ICC certifications
