Job Title: Task/Project Manager – Geotechnical Engineering

Location: Southern California

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Task/Project Manager with a background in geotechnical engineering to join their team in Southern California. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, demonstrating increasing responsibility and competency in geotechnical work. This role is for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit looking to lead in a growing geotechnical practice.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Oversee multiple geotechnical projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Geotechnical Investigations and Analysis:

  • Plan and direct site assessments, soil sampling, and testing.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports with recommendations.

Plan and Specification Review:

  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance for design modifications.

Construction Observation and Testing Services:

  • Oversee construction observation and testing.
  • Monitor site conditions and document issues.

Proposal Preparation:

  • Develop detailed project proposals.
  • Collaborate with business development on proposals.

Business Development Support:

  • Assist in proposal writing, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • BS in Civil Engineering.

Experience:

  • 2-10 years in geotechnical engineering.

Licensure:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license. OR
  • California Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software.
