Geotechnical Regional Manager – Denver, Colorado

Job Description:

GeoMaterials firm is seeking a senior-level geotechnical engineer to come aboard as a Geotechnical Regional Manager to oversee and grow our geotechnical engineering practice in our Denver, Colorado office. The Colorado Geotechnical Regional Manager is a dynamic leadership role within our Denver operation and is expected to be a positive and motivating influence to staff by actively promoting and living our core values. This role is primarily responsible for building and leading a team of technical and administrative staff to oversee and provide technical oversight and client management.

Reporting and Collaboration:

  • Reports to the Colorado Regional Manager.
  • Directly supervises a team of engineering, technical, and administrative professionals.
  • Collaborates with and receives technical support from Corporate Service Line Leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a team to achieve safety, growth, client satisfaction, risk management, and profitability goals.
  • Oversee and provide technical oversight, client management, and sales to the department.
  • Manage financial performance, client relationships, and risk control.
  • Develop and lead groups of technical, administrative, business development, and management professionals.
  • Inspire, grow, recruit, and mentor employees to success.
  • Proficiently write and review technical data and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado (or ability to secure Colorado PE within 60 days of hire).
  • 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience with 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • BS degree in an engineering-related field; MS or higher preferred.
  • Strong background in business development with a diverse client base including transportation, municipalities, healthcare, education, and commercial clients.
  • High competency in project management, including financial performance, client relationships, and risk control.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse team.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of personal integrity and a good work ethic.
