Senior Building Envelope Consultant
Location: Orlando, Florida area

A highly respected, multi discipline consulting firm is seeking a Senior Building Envelope Consultant to support forensic investigations, design, and consulting services related to building enclosure and roofing systems. This role offers a strong mix of technical consulting, project management, field evaluation, and client interaction within a collaborative and growth oriented environment.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced building envelope professional who enjoys problem solving, investigation, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform peer reviews of architectural and construction documents related to building envelope systems
  • Design remedial roofing and building enclosure solutions for existing facilities
  • Conduct visual building enclosure surveys, moisture surveys, and property condition assessments
  • Perform forensic evaluations of building enclosure and roofing failures
  • Conduct field testing of roofing, waterproofing, window, and curtain wall systems in accordance with industry standards
  • Perform quality assurance site inspections to verify compliance with construction documents and standards
  • Prepare detailed technical reports documenting observations, testing, and conclusions
  • Provide project management and technical oversight of building enclosure, facilities, and roofing projects
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and internal technical teams

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of building enclosure or roofing consulting experience
  • Professional Engineer or Registered Architect preferred
  • Certifications strongly preferred including RRC, RWC, RRO, and CIT
  • Strong technical knowledge of building construction and envelope systems
  • Proven ability to identify constructability, design integration, durability, and performance issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical report writing
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in outdoor temperature extremes
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel overnight occasionally
  • Ability to climb ladders and operate or become certified to operate boom lifts
