Our client, a highly regarded, employee-owned Geotechnical and Materials Testing firm with a strong regional presence, is seeking an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to lead its Ohio location. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of the branch, driving business development, operations, and client management, all while benefiting from the resources, support, and industry reputation of a market leader. As Branch Manager, you will have the autonomy to shape the branch’s success and position it for long-term growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Capture and build profitable revenue streams for the new branch. Establish and nurture relationships with local clients, including architects, civil engineers, developers, contractors, and healthcare/education institutions. Attend networking events, trade shows, and community organizations to build brand presence. Gather market intelligence to stay competitive.
  • Client Management: Provide exceptional client service and maintain continuous communication to enhance satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
  • Operations Management: Manage all aspects of branch operations, including the setup and leadership of project management, dispatch, laboratory, administrative, and support staff.
  • Quality Control: Ensure technical excellence and high-quality standards for all deliverables. Maintain a strong commitment to integrity and client satisfaction.
  • Business Management: Oversee all aspects of branch growth and profitability, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and cost control.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on management and/or quality control.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to guide staff, work closely with clients, and build a strong local team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a significant plus.
