Position Overview:

We are seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing. This role involves providing technical expertise, mentoring staff, managing complex projects, and preparing/reviewing technical reports and proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee site investigations, soil sampling, and laboratory testing.
  • Manage complex geotechnical and construction materials testing projects.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor for both departments.
  • Prepare and review geotechnical reports and proposals.
  • Perform and supervise construction materials testing.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.
