We seek an individual with a solid understanding of heavy civil projects, including bridges, roads, water treatment plants, and public works. The ideal candidate should be familiar with QC testing and inspection processes to effectively manage this scope. They must be able to read project specifications and plans and have knowledge of the testing and inspections related to earthwork, concrete, HMA, and structural steel.

Project Management
- Seller / Doer that can Identify opportunities, bid, win and manage projects
- Manage Projects financials, Review Monthly Invoices monthly
- Review daily dispatches
- Work with inspectors and lab technicians to provide clients with timely reports
- Attend meetings for assigned projects
- Review and understand contract terms and conditions of inspections contract
- Attend to and review all client requests
- Prepare change order requests
- Accounts Receivable reviews and follow up with the Client
- Mentor staff engineers
- Ability to grow into senior management role
Knowledge and Skills
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, with at least 5 years of relevant heavy civil construction management experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for maintaining interpersonal relationships.
- Leadership and Financial Management: Ability to provide leadership and financial support to the project team is required.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic business math and budgeting; knowledge of geometry, algebra, and physics for calculations related to volume, area, and tonnage.
- Planning and Organizing: Requires self-motivation, effective planning, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and adhere to schedules.
- Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective collaboration with diverse groups, including clients and teams, and strong leadership capabilities.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn new technologies is essential.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record required.
