Geotechnical Project Engineer in Albuquerque, NM . The successful candidate will serve as an Engineer for both design and in construction projects. Candidate will also serve as Project or Task Engineer in the performance of geotechnical field evaluations and construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• geotechnical subsurface evaluations
• supervision of excavation subcontractors
• logging and classification of soils in the field
• overseeing the performance of field compaction and concrete testing
• compilation of geotechnical and construction materials laboratory test data
• geotechnical calculations
• performance of engineering calculations
• assisting with geotechnical investigation reports
• The capability to serve as a project manager for construction materials testing/inspection projects is expected.

Education:

• Bachelors of Science, (Civil Engineer) is required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• The successful candidate will be experienced and capable, between 3 to 7 years of experience, preferably with a geotechnical consulting firm performing duties described above.
• Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work both independently and as a team member.
