A leading technical services organization is seeking a high-impact Regional Manager to lead a multi-location regional platform delivering geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services. This executive will be responsible for driving profitable growth, strengthening operational performance, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across the region.
Our client is looking for someone with strong operations and leadership experience to drive strategic growth and oversee the operations of a $25M dollar multi-office group and a team of 100+ employees. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, people-first leader with strong operational discipline, commercial instincts, and a proven ability to scale performance across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own full regional P&L responsibility, including budget development, forecasting, and operating plan execution
- Drive performance across key metrics such as revenue growth, margin improvement, utilization, backlog, and delivery consistency
- Establish and execute regional strategy aligned with broader organizational priorities
Growth & Market Expansion
- Lead strategic growth initiatives across priority markets, clients, and service offerings
- Partner with commercial leadership to strengthen pipeline, improve win rates, and expand key accounts
- Maintain executive-level relationships with clients, contractors, and other industry stakeholders
Operational Excellence
- Standardize operating rhythms and performance expectations across multiple locations
- Strengthen staffing models, resource planning, and workflow optimization to improve execution efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery, field operations, and laboratory performance (as applicable)
Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing regional leadership team
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational discipline
- Support recruiting strategy, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives
Safety, Quality & Risk
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to compliance and quality standards
- Maintain effective governance across operational risk, field execution, and client deliverables
Candidate Profile
- Proven executive leadership experience with multi-site operational oversight and P&L responsibility
- Strong operational and financial acumen with experience driving profitability and scalable growth
- Track record of building high-performing teams and leading through influence across locations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree required; Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
- Professional licensure (PE/PG) is a plus, but not required
