Position: Senior Engineer

 

Our client is experiencing rapid growth and is currently seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within their engineering team, supporting various departments as necessary while ensuring the delivery of high-quality professional services to their valued customers. Key Responsibilities:

Review, oversight, and certification of permit submission packages, including day-to-day correspondence.

Collaboration with engineering and drafting teams to prepare and review permit submission packages.

Coordination with permitting team to obtain permits, including certification letters for permit closeouts.

Collaboration with Certified Field Inspectors (CFIs) to develop scopes of work.

Forensic evaluation of structures for complex projects, both residential and commercial.

Preparation of detailed reports and repair designs as necessary.

Collaboration with construction crews to address unforeseen site conditions and prepare as-built documents.

Conduct site visits to address customer concerns or issues.

Active participation in industry outreach and continuing education efforts.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

5-10 years of relevant experience in commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.

Professional Engineer (PE) license required, Structural Engineer (SE) license desirable.

Proficiency in design and detailing of wood, concrete, and steel structures preferred.

Familiarity with building codes and load calculations.

Experience in deep foundation systems design is advantageous.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Demonstrated integrity, character, and personal accountability.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.

This is a full-time position with a willingness to travel up to 25% required.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).

 

License/Certification:

Professional Engineer License (required).
