Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

A growing engineering firm is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its Phoenix-area team. This position offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of transportation, commercial, industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing geotechnical investigations, performing engineering analyses and design, preparing technical reports, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and project stakeholders. This role offers a strong blend of technical leadership, project management, and client development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through completion.
• Plan and oversee subsurface investigations and field exploration programs.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and develop engineering recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, slopes, pavements, and earthwork.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and design documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and support construction-phase services.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong technical, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience with transportation, infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or energy projects preferred.
