This individual will play a crucial role in the development and execution of geotechnical projects related to renewable energy initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Geotechnical Site Assessments:
   • Conduct thorough geotechnical investigations and site assessments for renewable energy projects, including solar and wind farms.
   • Evaluate soil and foundation conditions to ensure suitability for the installation of renewable energy infrastructure.
2. Design and Analysis:
   • Lead the geotechnical design process for foundations of solar and wind structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
   • Perform geotechnical analysis and calculations to optimize foundation designs, considering factors such as soil stability, settlement, and seismic considerations.
3. Project Management:
   • Manage and oversee geotechnical aspects of renewable energy projects from conception to completion.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including environmental engineers, project managers, and construction teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
4. Technical Expertise:
   • Stay abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies in geotechnical engineering, and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
   • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
5. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
   • Identify and assess geotechnical risks associated with renewable energy projects, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
   • Work closely with project stakeholders to communicate risk factors and propose solutions to ensure project success.
6. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Ensure that all geotechnical designs and activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
   • Prepare documentation for permit applications and support regulatory approval processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
