Location: Central New Jersey
Full Time | Hybrid

A highly respected, employee owned, multidisciplinary consulting firm is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support building, energy, transportation, and infrastructure projects throughout Central New Jersey and the surrounding region.

This role offers a strong balance of field investigations, technical analysis, project execution, and client interaction within a collaborative, growth oriented environment. The position also provides a clear path toward long term leadership and ownership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Project Managers and Principals with day-to-day project execution
  • Coordinate internal and client communications
  • Manage subcontractor coordination during project delivery
  • Prepare technical reports and proposals with senior level guidance
  • Oversee subsurface geotechnical and geologic investigations for development and infrastructure projects
  • Perform stormwater, groundwater, and seasonal high water evaluations including soil logging
  • Participate in site meetings and conference calls as part of the project team
  • Mentor and oversee staff performing field investigations and construction oversight
  • Perform computer modeling including slope stability, dewatering, settlement, and groundwater analyses
  • Review construction drawings for compliance with project requirements
  • Conduct site compliance inspections
  • Support a collaborative, multi discipline project environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
  • Master’s degree with geotechnical specialization preferred
  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant geotechnical experience
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform field activities and remote project coordination
  • Proficiency with MS Office and geotechnical analysis software
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and regionally
  • OSHA HAZWOPER training or environmental investigation experience preferred
