Senior Project Manager – Construction Materials Testing
Location: Maryland
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead their Construction Materials Testing and Inspection. This position is responsible for overseeing field operations, coordinating staff activities, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of testing, inspections, and reporting on a wide range of construction projects.
Senior Project Managers are responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and reviewing the activities and reports of construction and testing field personnel. This role works closely with clients, internal project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
Experience and Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction materials testing
- At least 3 years of experience in a Project Manager role
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred
- Experience with preparation of final reports and field and laboratory testing of Soils, Concrete, Asphalt, Aggregates, and Structural steel
- Relevant industry certifications such as NICET, ICC, ACI, or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency with common office software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet tools)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and teams effectively
